Awakening to Intentional Living: How the Blog Started

As I sit down to write my first blog post for She is Awake, I am filled with excitement and a bit of apprehension.

Intentional living has become a vital part of my life, and the benefits of this lifestyle have been significant. Through intentional living, I have become more mindful, aware, and present in my daily life. I have learned to focus on what truly matters to me and prioritize those things.

As a result, I have experienced a greater sense of purpose, clarity, and direction in my life.

Starting a blog has been a dream of mine for years, and I am finally taking the leap. I started this journey on a personal Instagram account in 2017, sharing my thoughts and experiences on self-discovery, sustainability, and minimalism. But now, I am expanding my reach and sharing my insights with a wider audience through this blog.

The Three Pillars: Self-Discovery, Sustainability, and Minimalism

How they are interconnected?

One of the most significant benefits of intentional living has been the improvement of my mental and emotional well-being. By being more intentional with my thoughts and actions, I have been able to manage my stress and anxiety better. Additionally, intentional living has helped me cultivate deeper relationships with my loved ones and connect more authentically with others.

The She is Awake blog focuses on three main topics: self-discovery and personal development, sustainability and environmentalism, and minimalism and simple living. While these topics may seem disparate, they are actually quite interconnected, and together they promote a holistic approach to personal growth and well-being.

Self-discovery and personal development involve understanding oneself and making intentional choices that lead to personal growth and fulfillment.

In the articles on self-discovery, I explore various aspects of understanding and improving oneself. From exploring your values and beliefs to learning about mindfulness and meditation, these articles provide practical tips and insights for personal growth and self-improvement.

On the other hand, sustainability and environmentalism involve making choices that prioritize the health and well-being of the planet and its inhabitants.

The articles cover a range of topics related to sustainable living, including agriculture, cities, and businesses.

While also providing practical tips and strategies for reducing one’s environmental impact and living a more sustainable life

Minimalism and simple living involve intentionally simplifying one’s life and living with less.

The articles on minimalism and simple living delve into the benefits of living with less and provide tips and tricks for decluttering and simplifying one’s lifestyle.

All three topics share a focus on intentional living, self-awareness, and making conscious choices.

I believe that all three topics are closely related to one’s overall well-being. Personal growth and fulfillment are closely tied to self-care, which is necessary for maintaining good mental and physical health.

The Ultimate Resource for Mindful Living: Our Shop and Courses

Creating the shop and courses was a natural extension of my mission to help others live intentionally and mindfully.

I believe that intentional living is not just a personal journey, but a community effort. It’s about recognizing our impact on the world around us and making intentional choices that align with our values.

The Shop: Tools for a Mindful Life

Through the shop, I offer carefully curated products that are sustainably and ethically made, with a focus on mindfulness and intentional living.

We also offer a range of products in our shop to help you on your journey toward intentional living. Our guided  Journal is filled with prompts for sustainable living, our deck of cards provides prompts for self-reflection, our puzzles offer mindful moments, and The Mindfulness Colouring Book promotes relaxation and mindfulness.

It’s my hope that these resources will help others to live a more fulfilling, sustainable, and intentional life, while also supporting ethical and sustainable businesses.
